Capacity Building Champions Learning Community Meeting

Do you throw around terms like, “leveraging funds,” “assessments,” “training,” and “capacity” in casual conversation? Do you find joy in all things nonprofit sustainability-related? Does your foundation have a capacity-building program in place? Do you aspire to help nonprofits succeed in this challenging climate?

If you answered “yes” to even one of these questions, then we have found the NCNG Learning Community for you! Join your fellow Capacity Building Champions for the fall meeting on October 10th in Burlington. We’ll hear updates from peers on ongoing capacity collaboratives in our state, take a peek at an assessment tool-kit from the Hewlett Packard Foundation, and hear from our very own Dr. Mark Sorrells about his recently-completed research on capacity building through an evaluation framework.

We’ll also have plenty of time to share with one another.

Emerging Leaders Learning Community Meeting

Career development in philanthropy can look, well, a bit different than it does in other sectors. What steps can you take to grow in your current role and think about your next steps for career advancement? Join the NCNG Emerging Leaders Learning Community to talk about this (and more) with Marirose Steigerwald, Director of Operations for the N.C. Community Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2016, she was a partner in a consulting firm specializing in search and leadership development, and she has served in leadership roles in both large and small public and privately held companies. Of course, this will also be a great opportunity to connect with your peers around the state. Register today!
