Why join NCNG?A Network that works. We help you connect with the private foundations, community foundations, corporate foundations and giving programs, and other philanthropic organizations that give in our state. You’ll not only learn from your peers who are making a difference in your interest areas – you’ll have the chance to leverage what you have learned from your own grantmaking, sharing your knowledge with others.
Statewide Scope. Regardless of your geographic focus, chances are your grantmaking is heavily impacted by state-level practices, policies and initiatives. NCNG keeps you informed about the forces affecting the programs and causes you care about – and connects with you with potential funding partners who can help.
Personal touch. We get to know you, your organization, your distinct characteristics and goals. Through our meetings, you’ll make new relationships and deepen existing ones. With the help of our North Carolina Foundation Finder, which will debut later this year, you’ll be able to search for and learn about grantmakers with particular funding or geographic focus areas.
Great Programs. NCNG’s meetings and programs are exclusively for our state’s foundations and corporate grantmakers. You’ll hear from leaders in the public, for-profit and civic sectors, facilitating partnerships that benefit the communities you support. Our programs are planned by some of the most seasoned grantmakers in our state, as well as new members who bring fresh ideas, assuring that we deliver the kind of information you want in formats that are both effective and enjoyable.
Dialogue. In addition to our meetings, you can dialogue with other members and share tools and resources through our electronic listserv. With limited time, none of us wants to re-invent the wheel—find out what others have done and build upon their efforts.
News you can use. We’ll keep you abreast of news about and of interest to North Carolina grantmakers, and issues affecting the practice of philanthropy.
Fun. Networking and learning with colleagues in philanthropy isn’t all work and no play. You’ll find more than a few spirited colleagues among NCNG’s members – and some lasting friendships.
Best value. Learn more with less effort, and extend the impact of your grantmaking. Your membership in NCNG is an investment that goes a long way. How to JoinDownload NCNG membership materials -- guidelines, dues information and an application. |
