Community Foundation of Henderson County Opens Grant Application for Local Artists

Hendersonville, N.C., June 23, 2022 – Community Foundation of Henderson County and the Arts Council of Henderson County are now accepting applications for the Betty Taylor Memorial Award for Emerging Artists in Visual Arts and Crafts. The grant award, funded by Community Foundation of Henderson County, working in tandem with the Arts Council of Henderson County, is designed to fund an artist’s deeper study project that will advance their career as an emerging artist in the field of visual arts and crafts. Applicants may be either emerging artists or established artists and residing or working in Henderson, Polk or Transylvania counties for a minimum of one year prior to April 2022.

SECU Foundation Awards $40,000 Grant to Expand Homebuyer Education for North Carolinians

Raleigh, NC -- SECU Foundation recently announced a $40,000 grant for the Housing Consultants Group (HCG), a non-profit that provides financial counseling services and homebuyer education for underserved and diverse populations in the Piedmont/Triad area. HCG received the Foundation’s assistance to help expand its resources in other North Carolina counties with large minority communities.

Fifteen Nonprofits Receive $300,000 in Grants from Triangle Community Foundation

Research Triangle Park, NC: Triangle Community Foundation is delighted to share the 2022 grantees from the Environmental Resilience segment of its Sustainable Communities impact area. Fifteen grants of $20,000 each were awarded for one year of unrestricted support to organizations that build awareness of conservation and climate issues and help communities adapt to climate change threats, particularly those communities that have endured chronic stressors such as poverty and racial segregation, which are more vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
