What is the best part of your job?
I love working with our members. As the extrovert in the office, my day is best when we get out from behind our desks and present great programming for our foundation folks.
What do you actually do all day?
I spend a lot of time on email and on the phone while coordinating the Annual Meeting, programs for our learning communities, or other sessions for members. We have more than 30 in-person meetings, webinars and conference calls every year not including the more than 20 different sessions at the Annual Meeting, so I stay busy!
Why do you love where you live?
I grew up here and I love being just a quick trip away from our beautiful mountains or coast.
Most played song on your playlist?
Violin Concerto by Samuel Barber, first movement. It’s my favorite and I could listen to it on a loop every day. I was once the soloist on this piece with the Raleigh Symphony and it was the highlight of my career as a violinist.
My latest favorite is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab.
