Charlotte Donors Forum Meeting How We Can Welcome and Serve our Immigrant Communities: A Conversation with Practitioners

Charlotte is one of the fastest-growing large cities in the United States.  According to the most recent Census estimates, more than 16% of Charlotte residents are foreign-born.  Given this rapid demographic shift, Charlotte’s leaders have been working to ensure that city services are immigrant-friendly, helping immigrant families to integrate and thrive here.

2019 Grantmakers Education Summit

NCNG is pleased to present the 2019 Grantmakers Education Summit!

Join your colleagues for dinner and a day of learning at the Grantmakers Education Summit on December 2nd and 3rd. We’ll be diving in to the new focus areas for this group – the education workforce and equity in education. This year’s summit will include sessions and discussion around both of those topics.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this event is free to NCNG members, and overnight accommodations at the Rizzo Center are available if needed.

Getting Grounded in Grantmaking

Are you new to philanthropy or North Carolina? Are you looking for a detailed professional development opportunity to discuss topics like evaluation, advocacy, money and power, equity, the history of philanthropy and more?

Then "Getting Grounded in Grantmaking" is the program for you!

Join NCNG colleagues from around the state in Raleigh on January 14th and 15th. You'll hear from seasoned foundation leaders, get to know a room full of new folks, and walk away with tools and skills to help you in your work.

A participant last year said, "The program had a good mix of learning and activities - ample time to connect with others, interesting subject matter, and I learned of new resources - always good!"
