Accounting Manager
Supervises, develops and executes administrative and managerial duties such as performance reporting, and provides leadership and counsel to professionally develop, manage and mentor direct report: Senior Accountant.

Job description:
Duties:
- Private Foundation accounting and tax requirements (Required Minimum Distributions-RMD)
- 60% financial accounting and 40% tax
- Complex partnership accounting
- Accounting for individuals and entities using QuickBooks
- Review the accounting for transactions in the proper entity and reconcile enterprise wide control totals to investment statements
- Preparation of monthly financial statements of approximately 12 entities
- Responds to requests from auditors
- Assists in preparation of schedules for the annual audit of 2 entities
- Taxation and filings, (including estimated tax payments) for:
- Corporations
- Partnerships
- Trusts
- Individuals
- Private Foundations
- Estates
- Gift Tax
- Tax basis in partnerships etc.
- Work with tax laws/reporting of foreign tax investments:
- PFIC’s
- K2 K3’s
- Foreign Tax Credits
- Work with IRS form 8986 (Adjustment to Partnership)
- Working within the team with gathering tax documents control, organization; preparation of schedules and review of US federal and state income tax compliance including quarterly estimates, extensions & annual returns
- Review tax returns prepared by external firm (127 returns including Federal and State returns)
- Work with other members of the financial team

Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters’ degree in accounting required
- CPA required
- Minimum 6 years of experience in public accounting and preferably family office or private foundation
- Demonstrated record of advancement and ability to expand responsibilities/scope of work
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, QuickBooks
- Ability and willingness to work on-site

salary range: $140,000 - $170,000
