Program Officer

The Cannon Foundation

This Program Officer will support the Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts as well as the Mariam and Robert Hayes Charitable Trust.  The Program Officer will be an employee of The Cannon Foundation for personnel purposes including salary, benefits and annual evaluation.  The position will assist the Trust Secretary and Trustees in implementing the Trusts’ grant making programs. Job description:


  • Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's Degree is preferred.

  • Minimum five years of work experience, preferably in non-profit or philanthropy sectors.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Clear and concise business writing skills.

  • Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new systems.

  • Excellent communication skills.
