The Winston Salem Foundation Now Accepting Scholarship Applications For 2022- 2023 School Year

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem Foundation is now accepting applications for its scholarship program for the 2022-2023 academic year. Deadlines are March 15 for most merit-based scholarships and July 1 for financial need-based scholarships.

Golden Leaf Foundation's Board of Directors awards $1,714,857 in funding, hears presentations on federal funding opportunities

At the February Board meeting, the Golden LEAF Board of Directors awarded $1,080,800 in funding to support projects through the Open Grants Program and $562,678 in increased Disaster Recovery Grant Program funding. The Golden LEAF Board also approved $71,379 in funding for the NC Rural Center to support the Community-Based Grants Initiative in the Southeast Prosperity Zone. The Board was presented information regarding the use of federal American Rescue Plan (ARPA) funds from the N.C. League of Municipalities and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Government.

PNC Foundation Commits $2 Million to Advance African American Entrepreneurship in North Carolina

Danielle Breslin Named Moses Taylor Foundation President and CEO

Danielle Breslin, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation’s Vice President of Operations and Learning, has been named President and CEO of the Moses Taylor Foundation, a Scranton, PA-based grantmaker serving the people and communities of Northeastern Pennsylvania. She will depart the organization in mid-March after nearly two decades of service.

Dogwood Health Trust Names Susan Mims, MD, MPH as CEO

Asheville, N.C. – Following a five-month national search, Dogwood Health Trust has named Susan Mims, MD, MPH as its next CEO. Mims has held the role of Interim CEO since December 2020 and will assume the permanent post immediately.
