Stanly County Community Foundation Exceeds Goal with $223,000 Raised

Total helped by $100,000 matching gift in honor of C.B. Crook


May 1, 2017, ALBEMARLE, N.C. - The Stanly County Community Foundation, a regional affiliate of Foundation For The Carolinas, announced it has exceeded its fundraising goal. 

The $123,000 raised will be added to a $100,000 anonymous matching gift made in memory of C.B. Crook for a total of $223,000.

Carolinas Credit Union Foundation announces gifts for disaster relief

KERNVERSVILLE, NC - As communities in the Carolinas continue with Hurricane Matthew recovery efforts, the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation recently presented a donation of $20,000 to the Disaster Relief Fund at North Carolina Community Foundation and $20,000 to the One SC Relief Fund, housed at the Central Carolina Community Foundation. According to Lauren Whaley, Credit Union Foundation president, this follows an already $50,000 disbursed in the form of quick impact grants directly to credit union members who lost their homes and personal possessions.
