Cary Community Foundation awards $10,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Cary Community Foundation announces $10,000 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund, according to
Quinn Novels, regional director.

 

This year’s nonprofit recipients include:

  • $1,100 to Donate Life NC for multi-lingual rack cards

  • $1,800 to Kiran, Inc for Project Recover

  • $1,500 to the Lighthouse Foundation of Wake County for fueling underserved medical needs by providing health care and transportation for low-income
    adults

  • $2,100 to The Carying Place, Inc for life/fiscal management skills and transitional housing for homeless, working families with children

  • $1,500 to the Family Violence Prevention Center, Inc. for Lethality Assessment Program (LAP): InterAct’s Lifesaving Partnership with Cary Police
    Department

  • $2,000 to Triangle Family Services for Developing Opportunities for a Safe Environment (DOSE) program

Novels thanked the community for its support of the Cary Community Foundation. “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” she said.
“Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Cary’s community fund.”
