Community Foundation of Henderson County Funds, Horizon and Hannah Flanagan’s, Award $24,000 to Area Nonprofits

Hendersonville, N.C., March 12, 2018 – Through a community fund set up at Community Foundation of Henderson County, Horizon Heating and Air Conditioning and Hannah Flanagan’s are pleased to award a total of $24,000 this year to the following area nonprofits:

 

1st Quarter: Kenmure Fights Cancer - $2,000, Habitat for Humanity - $1,000, Blue Ridge Health Services - $1,000, Hope Rx - $1,000, Housing Assistance Corporation - $1,000
2nd Quarter: St. Gerard House - $2,000, Vocational Solutions - $2,000, Blue Ridge Literacy Council - $1,000, Big Brothers Big Sisters - $1,000
3rd Quarter: Boys & Girls Club - $2,000, Sentinel Patriot Club (dba STAND T.A.L.L) - $1,000, Apple Country Woodcrafters - $1,000, Henderson County Young Leaders (dba Camplify) - $1,000 – Fletcher Academy - $1,000.
4th Quarter: Children Family Resource Center - $2,000, Thrive - $2,000, The Storehouse - $1,500, Saluda Living in Place - $500

A year ago, Horizon Heating and Air Conditioning and Hannah Flanagan’s joined together in an effort to streamline their philanthropic efforts and increase their ability to impact local community.  “Our goal is that we grow our partnerships with other companies, in a capacity that is comfortable for small businesses,” says Dan Poeta owner of Horizon Heating and Air Conditioning.  Matt Johnes, owner of Hannah Flanagan’s adds, “The great thing about this partnership is I know the money is doing good in our community, and partnering with the Community Foundation has made it easy to manage.” 

Horizon Heating and Air Conditioning installs residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems along with commercial refrigeration systems in Hendersonville, Brevard, Waynesville, Asheville and other areas of Western North Carolina. 

Hannah Flanagan’s Irish Pub is located on Main Street in downtown Hendersonville, NC.  It offers Irish-influenced pub grub and an extensive, ever-changing beer list in a relaxed, old-world setting, with outside dining, daily drink specials and delicious Irish pub food.
