Community Foundation of Henderson County Invites You to Vintage Carolina 2018

2/23/2018
Hendersonville, NC, February 23, 2018:  Community Foundation of Henderson County is grateful for the community’s support of Vintage Carolina, CFHC’s annual gala which will be held on Monday, March 5th from 6 to 9 pm at Hendersonville Country Club.

“There is an incredible passion in our community for an array of philanthropic causes and we invite the public to join us as we celebrate our community’s generous giving,” says McCray Benson, President/CEO of Community Foundation of Henderson County.  “This event aids in building the community’s general fund to tackle unforeseen opportunities and challenges within our community.”

My Family in Philanthropy was an opportunity the Foundation saw in 2017 to engage a younger generation providing an opportunity for children to get involved in learning what it truly means to be part of a giving community.  The first session included families that are now in their fourth generation of being involved in local philanthropy.  There is no greater example of this year’s Vintage Carolina theme, Strong Roots.  Strong Foundation.  Strong Community.

Vintage Carolina will feature delectable small-plate offerings from some of the area’s best: Budy Finch Catering & Revelry, Champion Hills, Chef Michael’s Catering, Food Experience, Gateaux Cakes and Pastries, Hendersonville Community Co-Op, Hendersonville Country Club, The Saluda Grade Café, and Van’s Chocolates.
Guests will pair these fine foods with tastings of wine and beer from Advintage Distributing, Empire Distributors, Freedom Beverage Company, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Sanctuary Brewing, Southern Appalachian Brewery, and Tryon Distributing.

Space is limited and can be reserved online by visiting CFHCforever.org or by calling the Community Foundation at (828) 697-6224.  The cost is $125 per person, and proceeds help support the work of CFHC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity that since 1982 has been helping people who care make lasting contributions to causes that matter.

Dan Keller and Kevin Lampson will perform live music upstairs during the event and Sound Extreme will provide musical entertainment downstairs at the gala.
CFHC is grateful for the following Vintage Carolina Partners for continuously supporting CFHC’s philanthropic efforts and helping make this year’s gala possible:  A Generous Anonymous Donor, Altavista Wealth Management, Boyd Chevrolet Cadillac Buick, Inc., Carolina Village, Dunlap Construction, Morrow Insurance Agency, The Van Winkle Law Firm, Thos.
