Cone Health Foundation Announces New Board Member and Officers

Greensboro - Cone Health Foundation, Guilford County’s largest health-specific philanthropy, has added a new member to its Board of Directors:
 
Mac Sims is president of East Greensboro NOW (EGN), a position he has held since 1997 when the organization was founded. Prior to EGN, Sims worked for Weaver Cooke Construction Company, LLC, serving in a variety of roles that included: commercial and residential real estate development, commercial and multi-family real estate management, business development manager and marketing manager for construction. He serves on several local advisory boards and boards of directors including Salvation Army, YMCA, and Wellspring Retirement Community. He is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University.

Cone Health Foundation also elected the following Board officers:

Since 1997, Cone Health Foundation has awarded more than $105 million in the Greater Greensboro area in the form of grants and contributions. The majority of these grants fall into the Foundation’s four focus areas of grantmaking:  access to health care, adolescent pregnancy prevention, HIV, substance use and mental health disorders.
