Lenoir County Community Foundation awards $8,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Lenoir County Community Foundation announces $8,000 in local awards from the community grantmaking fund, according to Frances Theodorakis, board president.

 

This year the board will grant:

  • $1,800 to Hope Restorations Inc. for the Rebuilding Greenmead program

  • $1,000 to the Girl Scouts of North Carolina Coastal Pines for the Lenoir County Girl Scout Leadership Experience program

  • $1,200 to the CSS Neuse Gunboat Association for the Children’s Play Space program

  • $1,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain for the Formula for Impact- Lenoir County program

  • $2,000 to the Autism Society of North Carolina for the 2018 Camp Royall scholarships program

  • $1,000 to North Carolina Symphony Society Inc. for the Music Education Concert for Lenoir County Elementary Students program

Theodorakis thanked the community for its support of the Lenoir County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so important to our community,” she said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported the Lenoir County Community Foundation and our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
