Sarah Dorsett Walsh Joins The Staff of The Cannon Foundation

The Cannon Foundation is pleased to announce that Sarah Dorsett Walsh joined the staff on April 5, 2021. Sarah serves as a Program Officer and will work with grantee organizations focusing on healthcare, higher education, human services, and other areas throughout the state.
 
Sarah brings to the Foundation professional experiences from the non-profit sector including the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, where she served as Director of Strategic Partnerships for the West Coast Division, and the American Red Cross, where she most recently served as the Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations and from the for-profit sector.

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Spanish from the University of South Carolina.

The Cannon Foundation was established in 1943 by Charles A. Cannon, Chairman and President of the Cannon Mills Company. The Foundation continues his philanthropic legacy by funding primarily capital and infrastructure projects for organizations across the state of North Carolina. To date, the Foundation has awarded grants of more than $316 Million.
