Golden LEAF announces award of 215 scholarships to rural high school seniors

Golden LEAF is pleased to announce 215 new scholarships have been awarded to support students attending four-year colleges or universities in North Carolina. This year’s scholarship recipients hail from 75 rural counties and most have lived in rural North Carolina all of their life. Students will receive $3,000 each year for up to four years of study while attending a participating college or university.

K-64 program connects Catawba County students to local careers

K-64 is a collaborative workforce program bringing together education, business, government, and community leaders to connect students and employers to shape future careers, meet workforce demands, and help sustain the economic development of Catawba County. The name, K-64, is a reference to preparing students from kindergarten (K) through retirement (64).

Announcing the Fall 2020 Traditional Grant Cycle and the NEW Fluid Strategic Investment Program to support COVID-19 relief efforts

Non-profit organizations located in or serving residents within the Foundation’s service area working towards improved health and wellness are invited to explore funding opportunities available from the Foundation for a Healthy High Point.  

The Foundation offers two competitive grant programs:

  • The Traditional Grant Program, for funding requests exceeding $10,000
  • The NEW Fluid Strategic Investment Program for requests to support COVID-19 relief efforts, which will temporarily replace the Small Grants Program for the balance of 2020. 
The Foundation's Small Grants Program is temporarily suspended for the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2020.

Triangle Capacity-Building Network Grants $290,000 to Organizations Led by and Serving People of Color

In May, the Foundation, as part of the Triangle Capacity-Building Network, announced $290,000 ($10,000 grants) in stabilization funding to support organizations led by and are supporting people of color and addresses the need for adaption and innovation to ensure continued viability of the organizations during and post COVID-19.
