Community Foundation of Henderson County Announces Healthcare Conference and Scholarship

Hendersonville, N.C., September 5, 2018 - In partnership with MemoryCare, Community Foundation of Henderson County announces a Conference for Multi-Disciplinary Healthcare Professionals Caring for People Living with Dementia on Tuesday, October 16 at Blue Ridge Community College.  The conference will run from 9am to 4pm and the $20 registration fee includes a bag lunch.

Community Foundation of Gaston County's 2018 Albert G. Myers Scholarship Recipients

The Albert G. Myers Scholarship Fund of the Community Foundation of Gaston County, is pleased to announce the 2018 Albert G. Myers Scholarship recipients. Each scholarship is for $20,000 over four years to be used at the school of the student’s choice.  The scholarships have been awarded for more than 50 years and are named for the late Albert G. Myers, Sr., a prominent business leader and philanthropist for many years in Gastonia.

Craven County Community Foundation awards more than $177,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Craven County Community Foundation recently announced $177,020 in local grant awards from the community grantmaking fund and local component funds: the Richard Chapman Cleve Fund, Nelson Family Memorial Endowment Fund, Harry and Virginia Killian Charitable Endowment and Brian Fisher Endowment, at a grant awards ceremony hosted at Tryon Palace, according to Tyler Harris, board president.
