The Winston-Salem Foundation Awards Grants for Creative Solutions to Transportation Challenges

The Winston-Salem Foundation (WSF) has made seven grants totaling $189,000 for creative solutions to transportation challenges in Forsyth County. This grant round was initiated to address transportation issues that exist in many of our neighborhoods, preventing individuals and families from receiving vital access to healthcare, education, jobs, and healthy and affordable food – and all contributing to systemic poverty.

CFWNC fund awards $900k to human services nonprofits

(June 2019) – Six nonprofits serving Western North Carolina will receive $900,000 over three years from the Melvin R. Lane Fund of The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina.  The grant program helps human service organizations improve operations and become more collaborative and sustainable in order to better the lives of Western North Carolina’s disadvantaged citizens.  The following 2020-2022 grant recipients will receive $150,000 each over three years:
