Event Details
The road to finding meaningful employment can be twisting and arduous, especially for people facing complex challenges—from those in recovery or re-entering society after incarceration, to youth transitioning out of the substitute care system, students seeking to bridge the gap between education and career, and those living in rural areas with limited options. This session will include a solutions-focused panel discussion with diverse perspectives from leaders who have created effective pathways to employment and recognize that one size doesn't fit all.
Our expert panelists will explore:
- Why supportive employment pathways are critical for long-term success
- Complex barriers that require holistic support and approaches
- Components for effective programs, both technical and relational
- The power of partnerships and meaningfully including those with lived experience
- Multiple roles philanthropy can play through advocacy, funding, and convening
Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to design and support career pathways that advance social mobility and economic stability for people whose career options have been limited due to geography, justice system involvement, recovery needs, family structures, and other factors. Together, we’ll discuss practical strategies for creating progress through collaborative, person-centered approaches to employment support.
