Membership is open to community, corporate, or private foundations; donor-advised funds, public funders; and corporate grantmakers engaged in grantmaking activity for North Carolina charitable projects.

Membership in NCNG connects your staff and board to a network of knowledge, resources, and sector colleagues that will help you meet your mission, serve your stakeholders and operate more efficiently and effectively.

Eligible Prospective Members:

• Private Foundations: Individual and Family
• Corporate Giving Programs & Corporate Foundations
• Community Foundations
• Donor-Advised Funds

Ineligible Prospective Members:

• Nonprofits or Grassroots Organizations
• Individual philanthropists (unless members through a donor-advised fund or NCNG member community foundation)
• Consultants, Business advisors, or students
• Operating foundations

• Who’s funding what and where? What best practices exist? No need to spend time hunting down details. We’ll save you the time, energy and hassle of digging through the weeds.

Networking with your peers in the philanthropic community.

• NCNG hosts events throughout the year to get foundations together to share ideas, find opportunities to collaborate, and work through challenges in your roles as grantmakers. Members are from all over the state and represent foundations of every type and size.

• Every month, we’ll send a robust newsletter filled with news about North Carolina grantmakers and issues affecting the field of philanthropy.

NCNG provides a forum for funders to collaborate and network together. We maintain the culture of our network by ensuring that NCNG events and the NCNG network are not used for business solicitation or fundraising by members or guests.

Organizations that function as both grantmakers and grantseekers, and individuals who have roles in both philanthropy and development, must ensure their membership or attendance at events is not used for fundraising or promotion purposes.
