More than $17,000 in grants awarded to nonprofits in Currituck, Dare counties

The Currituck-Dare Community Foundation and the Currituck-Dare Women’s Fund have awarded $17,010 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.
 

The Currituck-Dare Community Foundation and the Currituck-Dare Women’s Fund have awarded $17,010 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.

The CDCF board of advisors granted:

  • $1,500 to Albemarle Commission Senior Nutrition Program for Meals on Wheels Currituck-Dare
  • $1,500 to Albemarle Hopeline for safety for victims, support for survivors – addressing intimate partner violence in our community
  • $1,000 to Food for Thought, Inc., for increasing the variety and quality of foods for children
  • $1,500 to Interfaith Community Outreach, Inc., for Bridging the Gap client outreach
  • $1,510 to Lower Currituck Food Pantry for general operating support
  • $1,000 to North Carolina Coastal Federation for environmental enrichment experiences
  • $1,500 to OBX Room in the Inn for emergency assistance
  • $1,000 to Outer Banks Dementia Friendly Coalition for caregiver education conference

The Currituck-Dare Women’s Fund granted:

  • $500 to the Albemarle Commission Senior Nutrition Program for 2023-24 Dare-Currituck Meals on Wheels
  • $2,500 to Beloved Haven for Beloved Haven Outreach Program
  • $1,500 to the Lower Currituck Food Pantry for Little Red Wagon
  • $1,000 to the North Carolina Coastal Federation for environmental education experience
  • $1,000 to Outer Banks Dementia Friendly Coalition to increase respite care scholarships and expand Caregivers Day Out
