Community Foundation of Henderson County College Announces Scholarships Available for Local Students

Hendersonville, N.C., November 21, 2022 – Community Foundation of Henderson County has announced the opening of their scholarship applications for the 2023-24 academic year.

The Foundation is offering over $600,000 in new and renewable academic scholarships for the upcoming school year through 274 award opportunities for local students. Scholarship applications opened November 1 on the Foundation’s website, cfhcforever.org. Graduating seniors, current college students, and returning adult/non-traditional students are all encouraged to apply.

All scholarship applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2022.

Cumberland Community Foundation Announces $1,000,000 Grant for Quality of Life for People with Disabilities

Fayetteville, NC – Cumberland Community Foundation has announced a $1,000,000 grant to ServiceSource Foundation. The largest single grant in the foundation’s history will be paid from the Clark Endowment to Enrich the Lives of People with Disabilities, field-of-interest endowment of Cumberland Community Foundation.

Community Foundation of Henderson County Announces Philanthropic Award Recipients at Annual Luncheon

Hendersonville, N.C., November 11, 2022 – On Tuesday, November 8, Community Foundation of Henderson County hosted its first in-person Annual Luncheon since 2019. The event, held at Jeter Mountain Farm, was attended by nearly 250 community members. The Luncheon featured highlights from the Foundation’s past fiscal year, looked back at 40 years of the organization’s history, and recognized two local philanthropists with the presentation of the Marlow Philanthropic Catalyst Award and Sauer Charitable Leadership Award.

NC IDEA Foundation awards $150,000 to fifteen North Carolina startups

NC IDEA, a private foundation committed to supporting entrepreneurial ambition and economic empowerment in North Carolina, announced today that the organization has awarded $150,000 to fifteen North Carolina startups in its ninth NC IDEA MICRO grant cycle. Since the inaugural cycle in Spring 2018, NC IDEA MICRO has awarded nearly $1.5 million to 148 young companies across the state.
